The pictures on this page will provide you with examples of what the cremation portraits will essentially look like. This portrait I did for my friends Donnie and Nancy. The portrait is of Donnie done in a way that I think accurately portrays who he was. The whole idea of doing cremation paintings was something that Donnie, my brother Rusty, and myself came up with randomly one day while we were talking, so when Donnie passed away so suddenly it meant a lot to me to be able to do this for him. I wasn't even positive that it could work because there is no paint at all. It is strictly ash and linseed oils. I combine the two in the same way that paint was made years ago by hand. Now the more people that see it and hear about it, the more requests I am getting to do these as commissions. So I do now offer cremation portraits as a type of painting that you can commission. I have seen a lot of interesting things being offered for cremation based artwork to remember your loved ones, and though I have seen people offer some types of paintings, no one is doing this type of painting with the depth and quality that this will have. So if you have any questions about the process or anything involved feel free to contact me.
